Thrift Share Monday

I had the chance to stop at an estate sale a couple of weeks ago and thought I'd show you what I picked up. I'm a big hanger fan. And, this reminds me that I need to post about a couple other 4-H projects involving hangers.

I have a collection of these church pew advertising fans. These aren't in great condition but it doesn't matter to me. It means they didn't cost much. The small book is full of photos from a tornado in Omaha (near us) in 1913. Cool, huh?

Logs of birch, really cool!!

This wash basin is a bit dirty, but it will wash up just fine. I've not had a pink enamel pan before. It will be heading to my booth unless someone emails me and wants to talk details.

Should it stay or should it go? That's what's playing in my mind. This is a perfect shelf for a small collection.

This is a really heavy milk glass vase and I didn't even chip it when I set it on the concrete to take a picture. What was I thinking? I'm kinda clumsy.

Plant markers!! I really love these. Not sure how it works to write on them---whether it will come off or not. I'll know soon. I feel like these should almost be used in art pieces instead.

love everything you got...and even though I'm not a pink girl...that pink enamelware basin is pretty great...and yes, those zinc plant markers need their own project!

Looking forward to seeing how you use some of your wood hangers...I am drawn to them too

I also enjoy enamel dishes and such

I have some of those plant markers somewhere...turned out I was not a marker in the garden kinda gal afterall LOL...you're right they have potential! I seem to remember using a grease pencil or that is what came with them...not positive

ok...LOVE the pink bathtub...(that's what it is you know)...but then i saw the green shelf !! yikes !! i want them both....(but i would definitely NOT paint that shelf..love the old green !) NICe haul !!!

Good score! I'm a wood lover and those advertising hangers would be something I couldn't pass up. You have much better sales in your part of the state, I think!

I don't even know where to start... LOVE the hangers - and the pink basin? Good grief... that is awesome! You should charge extra for the dirt!!! The fans ROCK!!!

And now - I think you should keep the shelf... and I will be singing the Ramone's song all day... "should i stay or should i go *dunt dunt dunt dunt dunt dunt dunt*"

Ooh, that PINK enamel bathtub is divine! I've never seen pink enamelware before. Love that green shelf too--too bad the paint isn't in better shape because it's a great color. :(

I think you're supposed to write on the plant markers with a grease pencil.
