July in the Garden: Part 1

This year had a slow cold start to our gardens here in Nebraska, but things are catching up. :)   All the vines are waiting to bloom yet except the Hyacinth Bean Vine which is just getting started.  I sure need fresh mulch, but it wasn't in the budget this year.  So it goes.  I have posted some photos on Instagram of the new lights I hung, that was a big unexpected bonus.  I found them on a super clearance at Aldi and couldn't resist.  So happy to have them!

The prayer flags were sent to me by a dear friend, aren't they wonderful?
This certainly could also be called a prayer garden, not just my tank garden.

So, now I'll just post the photos with part 2 coming tomorrow.

  1. I've been waiting for this post! What a beautiful spot on God's Good Earth where you can escape from all the noise out there. So much to see and enjoy, and I don't have to weed it - you've already taken care of all that. It's a lot of work, but it doesn't seem like work, does it! You've got some amazing things growing there, and still some more summer left to enjoy it all before frosts. Thanks so much for sharing!
