Yesterday I went out and gathered some sticks for my daughter to make twig stars for a presentation for our 4h meeting this week.  After I had enough...I wanted more! So I went out and gathered and trimmed more. It seems like a bucket of sticks is a good thing to have ready and on hand for when you need them. :)

Plus a bucket of sticks just looks really neat.

And, another plus:  I like the word "gathering" and all it's variations.

So, I have a bucket of gathered sticks.

Or would you call it a pail of gathered sticks?!

  1. That bucket or pail of gathered sticks looks great!

  2. Yes gather while ye may ;-)
Sticks and stones are always winking at me.
Hope we get to see some after pics.
I just discovered a twig star I made some years ago and was surprised it was still all in one piece (sometime hot glue comes undone here in the hot and humid weather...I guess it being tucked away in a drawer gave it protection).
    Lovely photos as always Jill.

  3. A perfect decoration and I think I like bucket.

  4. I'm not sure what I would call it but I like the word gathering as well and now I want a bucket of sticks.

  5. Your bucket of sticks reminds me of this: BUNDLE OF STICKS - AESOP'S FABLES. An old man on the point of death summoned his sons around him to give them some parting advice. He ordered his servants to bring in a faggot of sticks, and said to his eldest son: “Break it.” The son strained and strained, but with all his efforts was unable to break the Bundle. The other sons also tried, but none of them was successful. “Untie the faggots and each of you take a stick. Now Break" .. each stick was easily broken .. UNITY IS STRENGTH.

And friends and families STICK TOGETHER!!!!! Oh dear Jill, my computer's fixed but I can't get mail to go through to you. Waiting for some help to get that fixed. xoxoxoxoxoxox

Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit!
